Attorney Visits 

If you are the Attorney of Record for a defendant who is currently incarcerated at the Santa Rosa County Jail and you would like to schedule a visit please review the information below.

Visitation Schedule

Monday – Sunday

1st Time Period

8:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. 

2ndTime Period

11:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. 


3rd Time Period

5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. 


Submit requested visit to jail personnel

E-mail submissions must be conducted at least 24 hours prior to the date and time that you wish to visit your client during normal business hours.

Please be sure to include the following information

  • Provide your Client’s Full name
  • Date and Time for the requested visit
  • E-mail address (if different than sending address)
  • Telephone number (in case we need to contact you in case of last-minute issues)
  • Type of Visit (In person or by telephone)
  • List of specialty items for onsite visits, if needed (Examples: Laptop, Cell Phone, recorder, etc.)


Onsite Visitation Process:

Check-In process and Room preparation:

  • Provide Deputy at front lobby window with your Identification and credentials.
  • Place Jail Visitor Badge, on your person, that you will receive from the Deputy.
  • Place personal items, not authorized in the jail, in a locker or store in your vehicle.
  • Interview room will be cleaned and sanitized prior to scheduled visits.
  • Client will be placed in an interview room awaiting your arrival after cleaning.

Security Escort:

  • Security staff will escort you to the designated location for the visit.
  • Security staff shall escort you to multiple visits, if needed.

Visit:

  • Visits are conducted in interview rooms throughout the jail.
  • Security staff will be present at a distance.

Check-Out Process:

  • Security staff will escort you to the front lobby
  • Provide Deputy at window with the issued Jail Visitor Badge.
  • Deputy will provide you with your Identification card and credentials that you provided at check-in.
  • Obtain all items stored in locker, if applicable.

Cancellation of requested or scheduled appointment:

If you need to cancel a requested or scheduled appointment, please contact the jail at

(850) 983-1150 or (850) 983-1177 during normal business hours. If you have to cancel, please notify the jail at least one hour before the scheduled visit. You may contact (850) 983-1120 if the call is outside normal business hours.

Emergency Visit (Time Sensitive Cases):

If you should need to have an emergency visit with your client that falls outside the guidelines listed above, please conduct the following:

  • Contact the jail at (850) 983-1120 or respond to the front lobby
  • Advise staff that you need to conduct an emergency visit with a client
  • Provide the following information to jail personnel:
  • Provide your name
  • Provide your Client’s Full name
  • Date and Time for the requested visit
  • Provide your telephone number (A supervisor will contact you with confirmation)
  • Type of visit (In person or by telephone)
  • Any specialty items needed for the visit

Please be patient with security staff concerning emergency visits and you may have a seat in the front lobby. Security staff will advise you of the confirmed visit as soon as possible. Staff will clean and prepare the room and maintain staff is appropriately managed to accommodate the visit in a reasonable manner. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible to accommodate the visit.
