The Media Relations Unit provides official communication on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office. Through the leadership of the Public Information Officer (PIO), the unit delivers accurate and up-to-date information to the media and the public regarding significant incidents, investigations, arrests, and public safety issues.

Responsibilities of the Media Relations Unit include:

  • Preparing and distributing new releases
  • Coordinating media interviews and news conferences
  • Managing communication during critical incidents
  • Overseeing the Sheriff’s Office website and social media platforms
