The Honor Guard was re-established in 2006 when the Sheriff Wendell Hall appointed Sgt. Leonard Thomas as the Honor Guard Coordinator. The Honor Guard serves to pay honor to our fallen law enforcement brother and sisters who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. The Honor Guard also render honor to retirees from the law enforcement community.
The unit consists of seven to seventeen law enforcement members who train monthly in various areas such as flag folding, rifle detail, pall bearing and color guard movements. The Honor Guard participates in local activities within the community i.e. parades and civic organizations.
