The Crime Scene Unit is composed of civilian employees who specialize in crime scene investigation techniques. The unit is mainly responsible for investigating and collecting evidence found at various crime scene situations. Technicians are also responsible for processing evidence submitted by Deputies and Investigators.
The Crime Scene Unit utilizes sophisticated, state of the art equipment to assist in the detection and preservation of various forms of evidence. Examples include finger prints, blood, DNA, hairs and fibers, and trajectory reconstruction. The Crime Scene Unit also is occasionally utilized to assist other Agencies upon request.
The Crime Scene unit is available 24/7 and arrive within a short time to assist as needed.
